holiday report, part one. first out is the fantastic town house, that i call casa bjarrum. i heard something about can limon, but either way, the house is designed by architect claus bjarrum. it gave us the perfect mallorca holiday, very much thank's to claus' son mads and his lovely girlfriend being the sweetest hosts.
s'alqueria blancha is a small town, close to cala d'or. we enjoyed a few bottles of wine at the one bar, and the one restaurant on the square. as it only takes about fifteen minutes with bike to the beautiful beach mondragó, and large supermarkets are only ten minutes away by car, the location of casa bjarrum is perfect.
before we went on holiday i got this filter for my camera. it worked just fine, but i suppose i should have invested in the slightly more expensive one (so that i don't have to take it off at night), a lens shade, and maybe even a new lens... oh well, one can always dream.
monday, bloody monday. no, not quite actually. holiday is over, i'm back at work and it feels very much ok. the weekend was a sweet extention and gave us two fine last days before heading back to reality. we took ib for a few walks, and enjoyed watching people turning their heads as he got a ride in the basket with mr angelo. soon, i hope there is time to sort out all the pictures. soon.
last night in mallorca, tomorrow we're taking the ferry to ibiza crazy early in the morning. so tonight has been very slow and easy, compared to the other nights that has been kind of slow as well, but with a lot more alcohol consumed. we're staying with friends in a gorgeous townhouse, south east of palma, in a small village called s'alqueria blanca. yatzy, uno, beers by the pool, omelettes for breakfast (ok, lunch), short trips, white wine spritzers and sleeping in has filled most of the days. on friday me and mr angelo took the bikes, and the others the car, down to cala mondragó. a beautiful beach with turqoise water. on monday we went on a road trip to the north west parts of mallorca. it's so pretty in the mountains. we drove through beautiful deia, and had lunch in port de sóller followed by a swim in the perfect temperatured water. all in all, it's been so nice to just do nothing, and i can't wait to come back to mallorca. it sure is a beautiful island. now, let's see what ibiza has to offer... (more pictures to come as soon as possible.)
summer holidays starts... now! at kastrup, having burgers and beers at mash (not very inpressive, just over priced) getting pictures sent to us from mallorca. this is too exciting! so from now on, not much blogging, but maybe some instagramming. emeliebodilelisabet is the name there, as well. and don't worry, we have someone watching the flat for us... and yes, we checked the date four times a day since a week back to make sure we got it right.
.
counting the minutes now! summer holidays on mallorca and ibiza are soooo close. brought this home made carrot cake to work as it's obligatory to bring "feriekage" before you go on holiday. it was a great success.
as i don't wear heels or high shoes in general very often, i'm not very good at buying them, either. but as mallorca and ibiza are approaching, i felt that i really needed a pair. luckily, & other storoies had the sweetest girl helping me with different sizes and styles. i fell in love with so many, and ended up getting two pair! not only are they super comfortable, one of them were on sale too. can't wait to wear them!
countdown, two days till summer holidays in mallorca and ibiza. got these pictures sent to me from bjarrum. the beach look amazing, and so does the pool. i can't wait to dig my toes into the sand!
jonas and therese got married. and they did it good. the weather was perfect. the ceremony was perfect. the ring was perfect. the food, the drinks, the games, the friends, the location, the sunset was perfect. perfection is exhausting, and as we got back to my parents really late last night, we decided to stay with them for one more day before going back to copenhagen. enjoying the last few hours sitting outside in the garden. also, we managed to find myself three pair of shorts, a beach dress and a bikini. quite funny how you actually need time off, to prepare for doing nothing on your vacation... more pictures are to come, but here's my favourite from saturday's glorious wedding.
tonight is jonas and therese's last night as not married. i'm so excited about tomorrow, and this weekend in the sign of love could not have gotten a better start. me, dad and mr angelo drove for three hours through the woods and fields of hallands län, into västergötlands län. spending the night in a caravan in beautiful axvall, with good company, great food and wine. but now, time for some beauty sleep.
.
work, work, work is now turning into fun, fun, fun. not that work isn't fun, but you know. we're off to my parent's in a bit, and i've bought heaps of peonies. heaps. i hope they stay pretty 'til saturday.
on saturday me and mr angelo are going to a wedding in västergötland. it's going to be such a party. i've bought a soft, purple dress, shined my clogs and will pack my bags with brown vintage glass bottles in different sizes. everything to make sure the bride and groom get that feeling they really want. i don't doubt they will, being such lovely people they are!
don't know if it's the monday blues or a fever coming on, but i'm feeling very under the weather. luckily i have this little lady to keep me company. dog sitting shelly the dog could not have come more opportunely.
