last tuesday we celebrated valborg in sweden. in finland they celebrated vappu. a day for consuming lots and lots of sparkling wine. to be able to do that, you kind of need to have a day off work the day after. therefore, my finnish friend ira decided to postpone the celebration til yesterday, and take advantage of the bank holiday that is today. reason unknown. what is known, tho, is that yesterday was the most colourful and laughter-filled day i've experienced in ages. amazing food, endless stream of sparkling wine and people i've never met but can't wait to see again. and that better be soon!
