my aunt is coming over for fika and chitchat. i started making oatmeal cookies out of this recipe, when i realized that the dough would n-o-t get even close to able to roll. so here's my description of how to make them:

mix 200 g of butter with a little less than 2 dl of sugar. add a mix of a litte less than 6 dl of oatmeal, a little less than 3 dl of flour and a little less than 1 teaspoon of ammonium carbonate. mix everything together by hand. it's going to be messy and after a while you'll be like "what the f**k? how is this actually going to stick together?!". but don't worry, soon you will have a griny dough that you just simply divide and form into balls with your hands. they don't have to be round, as long as you flatten them slightly before you put them on a tray. the uglier, the better. pop them into the oven that should be pre-heated to 180 degrees. they are done after 10-14 minutes, depending what your oven is like, and how you like them. they will probably crunch all over the place, so handle with care as you move them from the tray to a cute little plate. it's all about the plate. and the candle.
